To allow you to easily share your status updates on Facebook Stories, a share button for the Facebook Store appears below the Status tab on WhatsApp.


WhatsApp launched a new feature test last week that allows users of WhatsApp to directly share WhatsApp status in the Facebook story. WhatsApp said they are going to use the Data Sharing API, which allows data to be shared between two apps without a link. Also,
The shared data will remain on the device.

"When you share your status, your updated status content will be shared with other apps and will not be ultimately protected by encryption. WhatsApp will not share your account information with Facebook or other apps.

This feature is not fully implemented yet and is currently limited to WhatsApp Android beta users only. You may still access it.


This is how you can share WhatsApp Status directly to Facebook Story


Step 1: Since it's in the testing phase right now, you can try out this feature by joining WhatsApp's beta program through the Google Play Store, for that, you need to install WhatsApp Beta from Google Play Store

Step 2: After installing/downloading the latest Whatsapp beta, open the WhatsApp application on your device.

Step 3: Scroll to the Status tab and upload the video or image which you want to share as your new WhatsApp status.

Step 4: Once you publish the status, you will see a "Share in Facebook Story" prompt followed by a share icon.

Step 5: Like Link Sharing on Chrome, you can share your photo or video with Facebook as well as to Facebook Story and to other apps as well through WhatsApp.

Note that the feature is still testing and in progress and may not work correctly on some devices.
