The Indian Election Commission celebrates the 11th National Election Day on January 25, 2021, every year.
The Honorable President of India Sri Ram Nath Kovind will be the main guest at the national event organized by the Indian Electoral Commission in New Delhi. This year's NVD theme "Empowering Our Voters, Making Vigilant, Safe and Informed" envisages active and participatory voters during the election. It also focuses on ECI's commitment to securely hold elections during the COVID-19 pandemic.
National Voters' Day has been celebrated across the country on January 25th each year since 2011 to commemorate the founding day of the Indian Electoral Commission, January 25th, 1950. The Main Objective One of the celebrations of the NVD is to encourage and facilitate and maximize enrollment, especially for new voters. The day is dedicated to the nation's voters and serves to raise voter awareness and encourage informed participation in the electoral process. New voters are congratulated and presented with their Voter Photo Identity Card (EPIC) at NVD events.
During the event, the Honorable President of India will present the National Awards for 2020-21 and start the ECI web radio "Hello Voters". The National Awards for Best Electoral Practices are given to state and district officials for excellence in conducting elections in a variety of areas such as IT initiatives, security management, election management during COVID-19, accessible elections, and contributions to voter awareness and range. National awards are also given to key stakeholders such as national icons, civil society organizations, and media groups for their valuable contributions to raising voter awareness.

ECI Web Radio: "Hello Voter" - This online digital radio service broadcasts voter awareness programs. It will be accessible through a link on the Indian Electoral Commission website. The programming style of Radio Hello Voters should correspond to that of common FM radio services. It provides information and education about the electoral process through songs, drama, debates, announcements, election stories, etc. in Hindi, English, and the regional languages across the country.
Sri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Honorable Minister of the Union for Law and Justice, Communications, Electronics, and Information Technology, will start the e-EPIC program and distribute e-EPIC and voter photo IDs to five new voters. E-EPIC, a digital version of the voter photo ID.
