Reliance Jio will start charging for the outgoing calls |
Reliance Jio offered the best of offer which they can provide from there side as other companies were charging a lot from the customers. At that time the amount charged by other service providers like Airtel and Vodafone used to charge for a month, where Reliance Jio was providing it for 84 days at the same price. This is the major reason for the shifting of the customers to Reliance Jio from Airtel and Vodafone.
Now the news in the center is that Reliance Jio will start charging for the calls made by Reliance Jio to other telecom providers like Airtel or Vodafone Idea. Reliance Jio has announced that they will charge 6 paise per minute. It means that the customers need to top up their plan. It is also said that Reliance Jio will charge till the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) dissolve the Interconnect Usage Charges (IUC).
In a statement released by Reliance Jio said in this month of October 2019, that they will share the data with TRAI and try to convince them that the "zero" IUC regime is best for the subscribers.
Interconnect Usage Charges (IUC) is the cost paid by one mobile operator to another telecom operator whenever its customer makes outgoing calls to other mobile operator's subscribers.
Like, a Reliance Jio's consumer is making a call to Airtel consumer, in this case, Reliance Jio will pay to Airtel.
This is the first time when Reliance Jio is charging from their customers for making calls to other networks since its launch in the year 2016. One intresting thing to know is you will the internet data of the same amount which you spent on other mobile networks outgoing calls.
Let's suppose you have recharged with Rs. 10 voucher, you will get 1GB data-free. The thing is to keep in mind is that there are no other charges that a customer needs to pay for the data or voice call, customers can make calls to Jio-Jio number, Jio- Landline, and the incoming calls are free as earlier. Reliance Jio customers can also look for other options as well, as they can make a call through WhatsApp, Skype, Facetime, and other apps as these apps use Internet data.
