New Aadhaar card applicants, as well as existing holders, can book appointments at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra.


The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched Aadhaar Service Centers (ASK) in some cities of the country. These centers will provide Aadhar related services such as new registrations, address updates, name updates, date of birth and more. Currently, these services are provided by UIDAI in selected banks, post offices, and government offices.

UIDAI has launched some service centers to book an online appointment in Delhi, Chennai, Bhopal, Agra, Hissar, Vijayawada and Chandigarh. According to a UIDAI press release, ASKs in Bhopal, Chennai, Patna and Guwahati are operational from the first week of September.

According to a UIDAI press release, ASKs will have 8-16 enrollment counters, 40-80 sitting areas, and electronic token systems. Any resident can make an appointment online and visit at their convenience.

Follow these steps to book an online appointment to avail Aadhaar Card services :

1. Visit UIDAI's Website.

Visit UIDAI's website (uidai.gov.in). Go to the 'My Places' tab. Select 'An Appointment Book' from the drop-down menu. Click here to visit UIDAI's Website

2. Book an appointment

Under the header 'Book an appointment at "UIDAI run Aadhaar Seba Kendra", choose your 'City/Location'. then click on 'Proceed to book an Online appointment'.

3. Select the Services.

After selecting 'City / Location', a new page will open. Three new options will be displayed on the page, such as' New Port, 'Update' or 'Appointment'. If you choose 'Update' and generate a registered mobile number, captcha code and valid OTP (one-time-password), you will need to enter your OTP and confirm your request. If you are applying for a 'new transfer' for the first time, you can also confirm a new mobile number.

4. Fill out the online form.

After successful OTP certification, complete the detailed online form. Details include appointment details, personal details, time slot selection and overview of all the details. Click the 'Next' tab to proceed.

5. Select the time slot

Once you have filled out the appointment details, personal details, select a timetable for the appointment. Check the details of your appointment and if you see any difference, you can fix the errors by clicking on the 'Previous' tab. If the details you entered are correct, click the 'Submit' tab to complete your online booking.



Timings

You need to book an appointment by selecting a particular date and time slot. According to a UIDAI release, these ASKs have the capacity to handle 1,000 entries a day and update requests. ASKs will be open six days a week, from 9:30 am to 6 pm on weekends. It will be closed on Tuesdays and public holidays.
