Syllabus for Group C NTPC

There are around nine posts that fall under Group C of RRB NTPC. It follows a certain pattern for each post. The first stage of the process is 
Stage 1 CBT (Computer Based Test) – Tier I and Tier II of objective-type questions with multiple choices under four sections i.e. (i) General Awareness, (ii) Arithmetic, (iii) General Intelligence, and (iv) Reasoning. The standard of the questions will be of educational standards.

RRB NTPC - Typing Skill Test

Now the second stage is the Typing Skill Test. Typing Skill Test is conducted for candidates who applied under Category No. 5, 6, and 9 i.e. Junior Account Assistant-cum Typist, Senior Clerk-cum-Typist, and Sr. Time Keeper, and have cleared the Tier I and II of Written Test (CBT) of RRB Exam. Typing Test is of qualifying nature and only those who clear Typing Skill Test will be further considered in the final merit list.
The test can be taken in any language either in  English or in Hindi. Candidates have to Bring their own Type Writing Machine. A detailed sample of the Type Writing Test is given in the RRB Exam Pattern.

RRB Exam Pattern - Loco Pilot

The position of Loco Pilot Assistant in Indian Railways is a position that requires high efficiency, perceptual skills, and good medical condition of the candidates. The selection/recruitment for this publication is done separately and is done in three stages.

  • Medical Fitness Test

Indian Railways recruit Engineers in Junior and Senior positions for various Engineering posts across India. The recruitment will be mostly in the Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical streams of Engineering. Check the engineering syllabus for junior, senior, and other posts given below.

RRB Syllabus - Constables

The recruitment for the post of Railway Police Force Constables is done individually by each Railway Recruitment Board every year. There will be three stages for recruitment, Written tests will be one of them. The syllabus for Written Exam is given below and a detailed Exam Pattern is given in RRB Exam Pattern. There will be three subjects for Constable Exam i.e. General Awareness, General English, and Essay Writing.

Railways Exam Group C and D - Overview

The recruitment for Group C and D is done via RRB under the supervision of the Railway Recruitment Control Board. The posts are divided into technical cadre and non-technical cadre. Recruitment is done on an All India basis and the competition is not restricted to one particular zone and the eligibility of the candidate is necessary for taking up the Exam under any zone. Since recruitment is done on a large scale, it is done under 21 RRBs.
  • Posts under Group C are RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Category), RRB Technical Cadre, and RPF Sub-Inspectors/Constables.
  • The recruitment of Track-man, Porter, Helper-II (Mechanical), Helper-II (S&T), Group D Engineer, Helper-II (Electricity), Gr. D (Store) is done through Group D recruitment.
Thus the focus of the Railway Recruitment Board is on Group C and D through Competitive Exams followed by the Interview process and other necessary recruitment processes.
