Rajnath Singh on Pakistan occupied Kashmir:
On the Eve of the Election in state Haryana, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Addresses the people of Haryana today, clear his mindset towards Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK).
NEW DELHI: The Defense Minister has clarified India's intentions towards the POK. He will have talks with Pakistan, not about Jammu and Kashmir, but about Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (POK), the area that has been under Pakistani control since the invasion of Pakistan in the year 1947.
"If there are talks with Pakistan, it will be only on POK (Pakistani-occupied Kashmir)," the defense minister said at his rally in front of the town of Haryana, where parliamentary elections are expected in the month of October this year.
In support of Islamabad, he added that the terror must cease before dialogue can begin.
The Defence Minister of India said today. "Our neighbor is knocking on the doors of the international community saying that India made a mistake," he said the day after the United Nations Security Council met to discuss Kashmir at China's request.
However, the meeting of 15 nations, five permanent members, and ten rotating members ended without a resolution, which was seen as a massive push for Pakistan.
Most nations agreed that ending Jammu & Kashmir's special status and dividing it into two union territories was a bilateral matter between the two countries India and Pakistan.
He further added on Jammu and Kashmir "People used to say that any move on Article 370 will divide the nation. They told us the BJP will not come back to power after that. I want to tell you that the BJP is not concerned about the politics of the electoral banks. They are focusing more on politics that have to do with national integration, "Rajnath Singh quoted ANI as saying.
